Psalm 30:2 O Lord my God, I cried out to you, and you healed me.
Back in 2018 my Dad goes through a stroke and was hospitalized admitted to ICU, unconscious for 3days. I was in Hostel doing my 1st-semester exam my family didn’t tell me about it, as I went home for my semester break my elder brother packed his luggage, I thought he was going for some exam but I was told that my Dad was in serious condition and he might not make it. I was shocked and didn’t know what to say, I didn’t want to cry in front of my siblings as they were already broken, and I told myself I cannot cry I need to be strong for my family.
I pretend to sleep, close my eyes but can’t sleep many thoughts are running through my mind, and I remember the best thing I could do is to pray and ask my friends to pray for my dad. So I wrote a text in my Class WhatsApp group has written in it ‘Class please pray for my Dad, he goes through a stroke and was hospitalized In ICU unconscious for three days now, doctors have no hope, and my brother is going to Manipur to take care of Him, pray as well for his journey.’ All my friends replied to me, many said they were praying and encouraged me.
Among all the messages one message struck my mind which says “ JEHOVAH RAPHA still lives, praying” It is this message which helped me to claim my Father’s life back to God, saying Abba if it is your will please give him some more time so that He will be able to make a closer relationship with you, I can’t lose him now…please Lord You are JEHOVAH RAPHA and you still live, You are the one who healed the sick, the blind, the cripple, who raised the dead, Abba nothing is impossible for you. Please one more time.
He did it, even when Doctors gave up hope, and people all around said even if he lives he will be paralyzed, he won’t be the same. But after all, He is JEHOVAH RAPHA the Lord who heals, He healed my Dad He is strong neither paralyzed nor dead, he lives healthy and strong. Dear… today, I just want to tell you He can heal all kinds of sickness, even the sickness which Doctors cannot understand, even the sickness which you have been hiding from others and is so a shame of, pause and take a minute claim healing in the name of JEHOVAH RAPHA.
